10 cups seedless watermelon cubes, frozen for at least 24 hours
2 to 4 tablespoons maple syrup
Juice of 1 large lime
1/4 cup fresh mint or basil leaves, loosely packed (optional)
1 1/2 cups filtered water
Instructions
1-Let frozen watermelon chunks sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes to slightly defrost.
2-In a high-speed blender, combine watermelon, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, lime juice, mint if using, and water.
3-Pulse until watermelon breaks up, then blend to a thick slushie consistency. Adjust sweetness with extra maple syrup if needed, or add more water if too thick.
4-Serve immediately, divided into 4 glasses.
