Ingredients

– ΒΎ cup (90 grams) flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 2 large eggs at room temperature

– 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar

– β…“ cup (78 ml) vegetable oil

– Β½ cup (120 ml) milk, whole or 2%, at room temperature

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 cup chocolate frosting

– 12 mini peanut butter cups (or similar small round chocolates)

– 24 small candy eyes

– 6 small candy pieces, cut in half for beaks

– 12 red gummy worms for the wattle

– 20 pieces of candy corn (10 pieces per turkey tail) or alternative colorful candies

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

2-In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

3-In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.

4-Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

5-Fill cupcake liners about ΒΎ full with the batter. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cupcakes cool completely before decorating.

6-Spread a thin layer of chocolate frosting on each cupcake.

7-Assemble the turkey decoration using the mini round chocolates as heads, attach candy eyes, use halved small candy pieces for beaks, red gummy worms for the wattles, and arrange candy corn in a fan shape to create turkey tails.
