Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 2 teaspoons chili powder

– 1 teaspoon cumin

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon paprika

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 teaspoon oregano

– 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes (undrained)

– 4-ounce can diced green chilies

– 15-ounce can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

– 15-ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained

– 17-ounce can corn, drained

– 2 cups chicken broth or broth of choice

– Tortilla chips or Fritos

– Sour cream

– Shredded cheese

– Chopped green onions

– Chopped avocado

– Hot sauce

– Fresh cilantro

Instructions

1-First, heat a large soup pot over medium heat and brown the 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey, breaking it into small pieces and draining any excess grease for a lighter soup.

2-Next, add the 4 cloves of minced garlic (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder), 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, the 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes (undrained), 4-ounce can of diced green chilies, 15-ounce can of kidney beans (rinsed and drained), 15-ounce can of black beans (rinsed and drained), 17-ounce can of corn (drained), and 2 cups of chicken broth. Stir well to mix all the flavors.

3-Bring the pot to a low boil, then lower the heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring now and then to let the tastes blend perfectly.

4-Finally, serve it hot and add your favorite toppings like shredded cheese or fresh cilantro for extra fun.
