Ingredients

Scale

Half a pound (about 227 grams) ground beef

Half a pound (about 227 grams) ground pork

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

One small yellow onion diced (approximately 1/2 cup)

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

1/2 cup plain bread crumbs

1/3 cup whole milk

One large egg at room temperature

2 tablespoons unsalted butter for browning the meatballs

1 cup warm sour cream

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

6 cups beef broth

8 ounces uncooked egg noodles

Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1-Prepare meatball mixture and form balls: Combining the ground beef, ground pork, and other meatball ingredients to form one-inch meatballs

2-Brown meatballs in butter: Brown them in unsalted butter for a flavorful base

3-Make and simmer soup base: Mix sour cream, flour, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings in the pot. Slowly whisk in the beef broth to avoid lumps, bring it to a boil, and add the egg noodles to simmer for 7 to 8 minutes until tender

4-Finalize and serve: Return the browned meatballs to the pot, stir gently, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving
