Ingredients
– 1 cup (about 25g) freeze-dried strawberries
– 1 cup (16 tablespoons; 226g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
– 3 and 1/2 cups (420g) confectioners’ sugar
– 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream or whole milk, at room temperature
– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
– Salt to taste
Instructions
1-First, take the freeze-dried strawberries and grind them into a fine powder using a blender or food processor. This step helps infuse maximum strawberry flavor without adding moisture.
2-Next, in a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter until it’s creamy and smooth, which usually takes about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer.
3-Gradually add the confectioners’ sugar to the butter, mixing on low speed to avoid a powdery mess, then increase to medium until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4-Slowly pour in the heavy cream or whole milk, along with the vanilla extract, and continue beating for another minute to blend everything perfectly.
5-For the best texture, taste and add salt as needed to balance the sweetness.
6-If your frosting seems too thick, add a splash more cream; if it’s too runny, mix in extra confectioners’ sugar a little at a time.
7-Once done, your strawberry frosting is ready to use right away.
