Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, thyme, parsley, honey, chili powder, Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. In a bowl or resealable plastic bag, mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion powder, and black pepper. Add any optional ingredients if desired.
2. Submerge up to 1-2 pounds of steak in the marinade, ensuring it’s well-coated.
3. Marinate in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes or up to 24 hours for intensified flavor; avoid exceeding 24 hours to prevent a mushy texture.
4. Remove steaks from marinade and discard any remaining marinade that has touched raw meat.
5. Cook steaks by grilling, broiling, or pan-frying with butter or olive oil. Optionally, grill until almost done, then finish pan frying for extra flavor.
