  • Total Time: 23 minutes, plus marinating
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1Β½ pounds tri-tip or sirloin steak tips, cut into 1 to 1.3-inch cubes
Β½ cup light soy sauce
ΒΌ cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 red onion, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
8 oz mushrooms, whole or halved if large
Optional: parboiled baby potatoes, halved
Salt to taste
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Metal or wooden skewers

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to create the marinade.
2. Add steak cubes to the marinade and mix until evenly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 6 hours.
3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
4. Thread beef and vegetables alternately onto skewers, leaving space between each piece. Use two pieces of vegetables between each beef cube.
5. Preheat the barbecue to high heat. Lightly brush skewers with reserved marinade and drizzle with remaining olive oil.
6. Grill kabobs for 8 to 10 minutes, turning every 2 minutes, until beef reaches desired doneness and vegetables are tender.
7. Remove kabobs from the grill and let them rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
8. Serve hot with a side of sauce or your favorite accompaniment.

🌿 Allow kabobs to rest after grilling to let the juices redistribute, resulting in more flavorful eats.
