πŸ• This homemade pizza recipe is quick and easy, delivering a restaurant-quality spicy treat that’s sure to satisfy your cravings.

  • Total Time: 32 minutes
  • Yield: 1 pizza (about 8 slices)

Ingredients

– Β½ pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)

– Β½ cup marinara sauce

– 12 ounces spicy sausage, cooked and crumbled (regular Italian sausage can be used for less spice)

– ΒΌ cup thinly sliced onion (yellow preferred, but red or white onion also work)

– ΒΌ cup thinly sliced mini sweet peppers (bell peppers can be used as substitute)

– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 tablespoon chili oil

– 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

1-Getting started with your Spicy Sausage Pizza recipe: First, set it to 475Β°F and place the rack in the lower middle spot for even baking. This step helps achieve that ideal crispness we all love in a great pizza.

2-Next, shape your Β½ pound of pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured, non-stick sprayed pan: Roll it out carefully to your preferred thickness, setting the base for all the tasty toppings. Then, spread the Β½ cup of marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch edge for a nice crust.

3-Layer on the 12 ounces of cooked, crumbled spicy sausage, followed by the ΒΌ cup of thinly sliced onion and ΒΌ cup of thinly sliced mini sweet peppers. Top it all with 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey melt. Bake for 15-17 minutes, rotating halfway through to ensure golden perfection.

4-After baking, drizzle on the 1 tablespoon of chili oil and sprinkle the 1 tablespoon of crushed red pepper flakes. Let it cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack before slicing.
