Ingredients

– 200g softened butter plus extra for greasing

– 150g caster sugar

– 150g golden marzipan, cut into small pieces

– 8 eggs, separated

– 250ml double cream

– 60ml dark rum

– 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

– ½ tsp vanilla bean powder or 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 140g self-raising flour

– 100g cornflour

– 100g plain chocolate, broken into pieces for glaze

– 1 tbsp golden syrup for glaze

– 150ml double cream for glaze

– 2 tbsp dark rum for glaze

– 15g butter for glaze

– 50g melted white chocolate for decoration

Instructions

1-First: grease a 25cm round ring pan, including the central spindle, and pour in a thin layer of batter.

2-Grill for 3-5 minutes until golden, then repeat for about 10 layers to build the signature rings.

3-After cooling, prepare the glaze by heating the chocolate, golden syrup, double cream, rum, and butter until melted, then pour over the cake.

4-Finally, drizzle with melted white chocolate for decoration and let it set before serving.
