– 1/2 cup strong hot coffee or 2 shots espresso

– 2 cups milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy such as oat milk)

– 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree or pumpkin butter for a stronger flavor

– 1 tablespoon sugar or maple syrup, adjust to taste

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus extra for garnish

– Whipped cream (optional, dairy or dairy-free)

Instructions

1-First, gather all ingredients and utensils, such as a saucepan, whisk, and measuring spoons. Prepare your 1/2 cup strong hot coffee or 2 shots espresso ahead of time.

2-In a saucepan, gently heat 2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree or pumpkin butter, and 1 tablespoon of sugar over medium heat, stirring until warm but not boiling.

3-Remove from heat and whisk in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and the prepared coffee. Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as needed for your preference.

4-Pour the mixture into two mugs for serving.

5-Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle extra pumpkin pie spice on top for a finishing touch.
