2-Sift together the 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour and 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, then whisk to combine them evenly.

3-In a mixing bowl, cream the 1/2 cup unsalted butter with the 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup light brown sugar using a mixer until smooth and fluffy.

4-Add the 1 cup smooth, salted peanut butter and mix until fully incorporated for that signature flavor.

5-Incorporate the 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, stirring well to bind the mixture.

6-Add the flour mixture and beat at low speed until just combined, avoiding overmixing to keep the cookies tender.
