Ingredients
– 1 cup red and green bell peppers
– 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimps
– 1 lb steak in cubes
– 2 tsp jerk seasoning
– 1 tsp creole seasoning
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp pepper
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 tbsp butter
– 1 tbsp oil
– β tsp honey
– yellow rice
Instructions
1-Getting started with this jerk steak shrimp pilaf: First, heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the steak cubes for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes before setting them aside. This builds a great base flavor and ensures the steak turns out tender.
2-Next, season the shrimp with creole seasoning and jerk seasoning: making sure they are dry, then add butter to the pan and cook the shrimp for 1 minute per side before removing them.
3-Follow this by adding the bell peppers and cooking for 5 minutes on both sides: to bring out their sweetness.
4-Once thatβs done, return the steak and shrimp to the pan, pour in the chicken broth: and wait for it to bubble before adding salt, pepper, and honey.
5-Simmer everything on low heat: to let the flavors blend, then serve the mixture over yellow rice and garnish with fresh coriander.
