🌶️ Create your own signature spicy spirit that adds a fiery kick to cocktails and Bloody Marys with this easy homemade chili infused vodka recipe
🍸 Impress your guests with a unique, handcrafted infusion that brings complex heat and flavor to your favorite drinks, perfect for entertaining or gifting

  • Total Time: 7 days 5 minutes
  • Yield: 750 ml infused vodka

Ingredients

– 750 ml vodka

– 3 to 4 jalapenos

– 3 to 4 other fresh peppers (adjust quantity for desired heat)

– 2 to 3 tablespoons chili flakes (or suitable substitute)

– 2 inches fresh horseradish, peeled

– 1 lime with about twenty slits in the peel

Instructions

1-Wash and dry 3-4 fresh chili peppers; remove seeds for milder heat or leave them for extra spice.

2-Slice the chili peppers and optionally slice a piece of fresh ginger.

3-Place the sliced chili peppers and ginger into a clean glass jar.

4-Pour 500 ml of your chosen high-proof vodka or white rum over the peppers and ginger.

5-Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for 3-7 days, shaking gently each day to mix the flavors.

6-Taste the infusion daily; when the desired heat and flavor are reached, strain out the solid ingredients using a fine mesh strainer.

7-Transfer the infused alcohol to a clean bottle and refrigerate. Use it straight or in cocktails, adjusting for dietary preferences by choosing gluten-free or vegan alcohol bases as needed.

Notes

🌶️ Adjust the heat level by varying pepper types and amounts – remove seeds and stems for milder spice or add more peppers for extra kick
🥃 Use fresh horseradish for the best spicy note; if using jarred horseradish, wrap it in cheesecloth to prevent clouding the infusion
🎁 This makes an excellent handmade gift – package in decorative bottles with custom labels for a thoughtful personal touch
