🍫 Customize your spread’s flavor and texture while avoiding additives and excessive sugars found in commercial versions.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

– 2 cups hazelnuts (240g)

– 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

– 1/4 cup cocoa powder

– 1/3 cup sweetener of choice

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup milk of choice or 2 tablespoons oil for adjusting texture

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spread the 2 cups of hazelnuts on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roast them for 6 to 8 minutes until they’re lightly browned and fragrant, then let them cool a bit before rubbing off the skins with a paper towel or cloth don’t worry if some skins stay on, as they’ll still blend fine.

2-Once the hazelnuts are ready, it’s time to blend them in your food processor until they turn into a smooth butter. This step might take up to 20 minutes, so be patient and scrape down the sides as needed to ensure even blending.

3-After your hazelnut butter is creamy, add the 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/3 cup of your chosen sweetener, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Blend everything together until it’s fully mixed and has a rich, chocolatey texture if you want it smoother, stir in the 1/2 cup milk of choice or 2 tablespoons oil and blend a little more.
