🧈 Quick and simple preparation makes this dish ideal for any grilling occasion, as both the star and a complement.

  • Total Time: 25 to 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb sirloin steak (or steaks about 8 to 12 oz each)
Salt and black pepper
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons fresh herbs, finely chopped (such as parsley, thyme, or herb blend)
Optional: 2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for seasoning or rub)

Instructions

1. Season both sides of the sirloin steak generously with salt and black pepper. Pat dry with paper towels, then let rest at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.
2. Preheat the grill to 450 to 475°F.
3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, chopped herbs, and minced garlic to make herb butter.
4. Optionally, rub the steak with olive oil. Place on grill racks.
5. Place seasoned steak directly on the heat. Cook 3 to 8 minutes on the first side, brushing with half of the herb butter mixture. Flip the steak and brush with the remaining butter. Cook an additional 3 to 8 minutes.
6. Rotate the steak 45 degrees during cooking for grill marks.
7. Remove steak from grill and let rest on a cutting board for 5 to 8 minutes.
8. Slice thinly and serve.
