🍞 Cinnamon French Toast Sticks offer a fun and easy breakfast treat with crispy edges and a warm, cinnamon sugar coating.
🍯 Paired with a simple homemade dipping sauce, they make an irresistible start to any morning or brunch.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 3 servings

Ingredients

– 4 thick slices of white bread (preferably stale)

– 2 eggs

– 1/4 cup of milk

– A pinch of salt

– 1/3 cup of white sugar

– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

– 2 tablespoons of butter (with an additional 1 tablespoon for cooking the rest)

Instructions

1-First, take 4 thick slices of white bread, preferably stale, remove the crusts, and cut each slice into 3 thick batons for sturdy sticks.

2-In a bowl, combine 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of milk, and a pinch of salt to make the dipping mixture, whisking until it’s smooth.

3-On a separate plate, mix 1/3 cup of white sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder for the coating.

4-Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium-high heat to get it ready for cooking.

5-Quickly roll the bread sticks in the egg mixture without soaking them, then cook in batches in the hot pan until golden on each side.

6-While the sticks are still hot, roll them in the cinnamon sugar to coat evenly.

7-If needed, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to cook the rest of the sticks in the same way.

8-Serve immediately, optionally with maple syrup for dipping, and enjoy the crisp texture right away.
