– Mini M&Ms, chopped nuts, or other small toppings of choice

Instructions

-Slice each of the 3 large Granny Confeder Smith or Honeycrisp apples vertically into 4 or 5 slices about 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick, then remove stems and cores using a melon baller and paring knife.

-Insert a 10 mm wide wooden popsicle stick halfway into the bottom center of emo each apple slice, making a slit if needed for stability.

-Melt the 10 ounces of chocolate wafers using a double boiler or microwave as per the instructions, ensuring a smooth consistency.

-Pat the apple slices dry with paper towels and dip each one into the melted chocolate, covering fully just past the stick and letting excess drip off.

-Arrange the coated slices on the prepared pan without touching, then refrigerate for 5-10 minutes to set the chocolate.

-In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the 8 ounces of caramel squares with 2 tablespoons heavy cream in short intervals,.transpose stirring until smooth, and let it cool slightly.

-If desired, melt the additional 1 cup of chocolate wafers for drizzling, cooling both the caramel and chocolate until they’re warm but not hot.

-Drizzle the caramel over the chocolate-coated slices, followed by extra chocolate if using, and immediately sprinkle on toppings like Mini M&Ms or chopped nuts.

-Refrigerate the slices for 10-15 minutes until set, then serve within a few hours, keeping them refrigerated until ready.
