Instructions
-Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare your toppings by finely chopping the walnuts and mincing the garlic.
-Slice the Camembert cheese into even rounds about 1 cm thick for uniform cooking.
-Lightly brush each cheese slice with olive oil, then sprinkle minced garlic and thyme leaves evenly over the top.
-Arrange the cheese slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced apart.
-Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the slices and season with salt and pepper to taste.
-For the mushroom topping, top the baked Camembert with the mushroom mixture and drizzle with truffle oil right after baking.
-Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is soft. For the mushroom version, bake the Camembert first at 190°C for about 15 minutes until melted, after removing the lid and wrapping, placing it in its base on a baking tray, and cutting slits on top. Prepare the topping while it bakes and add immediately after.
-Final step: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm. This ensures the cheese stays creamy and pairs well with the toppings.
