  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 slices

Ingredients

– 1 ½ cups shredded chicken

– 1/3 cup buffalo sauce, plus more to drizzle on top

– ¼ cup blue cheese dressing, divided (can substitute Ranch)

– 1 lb. pizza dough, at room temperature

– ½ cup pizza sauce

– 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low moisture whole milk, shredded from a block recommended)

– ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions

– ¼ cup banana pepper rings, patted dry

– 1 tablespoon melted butter for Garlic Butter Parmesan Crust

– 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese for Garlic Butter Parmesan Crust

– ¼ teaspoon garlic powder for Garlic Butter Parmesan Crust

– Chives or green onions for Garnish

– Red pepper flakes for Garnish

– Parsley for Garnish

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 450° F and place a pizza stone in the oven if you have one for even cooking and a crispier crust. This step helps make the best sauce for buffalo chicken pizza by ensuring the base cooks just right. Next, combine 1 ½ cups shredded chicken with 1/3 cup buffalo sauce and 1 tablespoon blue cheese dressing, and let it marinate for a few minutes to soak in the flavors.

2-Then, roll out 1 lb. of pizza dough on a lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan or stone, and poke holes in the dough with a fork to prevent bubbling. Spread ½ cup pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then cover with most of the 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese for that melty goodness. Add the buffalo chicken mixture, ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions, and ¼ cup banana pepper rings evenly over the pizza, and top with the remaining shredded mozzarella.

3-Drizzle with 3 tablespoons blue cheese dressing and 1 to 2 tablespoons buffalo sauce for extra tang. Bake in the oven for 13 minutes, then remove it. Mix 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese, and ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, and brush this over the pizza crust. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the crust is browned. Finally, garnish with chopped green onions, red pepper flakes, and parsley, then slice and serve immediately.

Notes

🧀 Use blue cheese dressing from the refrigerated produce section for the best flavor; Ranch is a suitable substitute.
🌶️ Choose a smooth, buttery-style buffalo sauce for optimal taste.
🧀 Use shredded low moisture whole milk mozzarella from a block for better melting; avoid fresh mozzarella.
🍞 Let store-bought refrigerated dough come to room temperature before rolling to avoid shrinking.
♨️ For reheating, cover pizza with foil and bake at 275° F on the bottom rack for 25-30 minutes to retain moisture and texture.
