Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

– 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted if lumpy

– 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted if lumpy

– 1/2 cup chocolate chips

– 3/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 eggs

– 1/2 cup oil (canola oil recommended; olive oil can be used for a richer flavor)

– 2 tablespoons water

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1-First: preheat the oven to 325Β°F and lightly spray an 8Γ—8 inch baking pan with oil, then line it with parchment paper and spray the paper again for easy removal.

2-In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and salt to mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.

3-Next, in a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, water, and vanilla extract until well blended.

4-Now, sprinkle the dry mixture over the wet mixture and fold it together until just combined; the batter will be thick, so don’t overmix.

5-Pour the batter into the prepared pan and use a spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the top for even baking.

6-Bake for 40 to 48 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs attached, then cool completely before slicing and serving to achieve that gooey texture.
