Ingredients
1 bread boule (round loaf, sourdough recommended)
Cooking spray
1 (8-ounce) wheel of brie cheese (preferably triple cream)
½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought with whole cranberries preferred)
2 tablespoons fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions
1-Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2-Slice off the top quarter of the bread boule.
3-Partially remove the rind from the brie wheel.
4-Place the brie on top of the bread and trace a circle around it. Scoop out the inner circle of bread to create a cavity for the cheese.
5-Place the brie inside the hollowed bread.
6-Spray the outside of the bread with cooking spray.
7-Make cuts all around the edge of the bread, approximately 1-2 inches apart, without slicing through the loaf to create pull-apart pieces.
8-Top the brie with the cranberry sauce and sprinkle with fresh thyme (if using).
9-Bake until the bread is golden brown and toasted and the brie is melted, about 25 minutes.
10-Serve immediately while the cheese is melty.
